Are you looking for a student big band in Munich? Would you like to meet other music-loving students from a wide variety of degree programs across all faculties? Then the TUM JazzBand is the right place for you!

We are always on the lookout for motivated new talent. You can apply for one of the vacant positions by auditioning.

The form below lists the instruments we are looking for for the coming semester. Unsolicited applications are also always welcome.

Your profile:

• Enjoyment of big band tunes from swing, funk, modern arrangements, etc.
• Experience from other bands/combos
• Studying at a Munich university

What you can expect:

• Weekly rehearsals during the lecture period (Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in room 2100 at Arcisstraße 21), with a few rehearsals during the semester break
• Regular performances (annual concert, student festivals, TUM events, etc.)
• One rehearsal weekend each semester
• Approximately one rehearsal day per semester with professional instructors
• Music trips, e.g., to Edinburgh or Sweden
• The opportunity to develop your skills in rehearsals and with your section. We do not offer individual lessons.
